Is every product organic and certified?
Yes, every single product is organic and certified. Our main goal is to have only our products in the boxes we deliver but because we can’t produce everything (because we don’t have the land or climate to make sure the product has the best quality, or just because we don’t have the capacity to do it) we try to find Portuguese producers for those we can’t.
Now we work with several producers and we know them by their name. It’s crucial for us to have good suppliers that enjoy working with us and for this we need to respect deadlines. For us to be able to do that it’s crucial that our clients do the same.
The company that certifies us is SATIVA and all our suppliers are certified as well.
How am I absolutely sure that this is true and that every producer respects the rules?
Doing the same thing we do in other activity areas. Trust is the key.
The products produced by small farmers are also organic?
No. People tend to confuse organic production and small producer’s production or artisan agriculture. Organic is a term that only can be used in productions that are subjected to regular control and that follow a lot of specific rules. Organic production is a production made with the use of chemicals and this is the main and most important difference. It is done in a professional mode, following the rules of the community regulation by Organic Agriculture: Legislation (CE) number 834/2007 and 889/2008 and their alterations.

Is everything made in Portugal?
Portuguese produces are always our first option. It has been a principle from the beginning. We never had the intention to buy imported goods but soon we found out it would be impossible. The production in Portugal is very deficient and there is a time of the year that unfortunately there aren’t any potatoes, onions, carrots… but this also happens in the conventional agriculture. Without these products how is it possible to make weekly boxes?
What if I only want to buy Portuguese products?
You only need to see the origin of which product you want to add when you are doing your order. In summer time it’s much easier, during the cold weather it is difficult but not impossible!
Why we add grocery products in our shop?
Farm Shop
When we started to produce, we found out that were surplus that were inevitable in production peaks. We started to buy some pigs to eat the surplus but there are some products like tomatoes and strawberries that we thought that were a huge waste not to turn it into something. So, we decided to license the kitchen and started to make some new products. Then were more and more. You can find everything that we do in our Farm Shop and Online Shop..
Gorcery Store
Because we can’t live only with fruit and vegetables we decided to add eggs, flours, legumes, etc. Our intention is to grow our offer.
